Last day of 2006

I realised alot of people had not updated their blog quite sometime. Is it because of the slow connection? I don't know. But I don't think I can stop. I still think of coming in here to post little photos so I can share with you guys, in excitement, what's up in my life.

Afterall, my buddies have been given my blog add and reminded to visit it, in case I stop emailing them, they can still kaypo about me. *grin*

It's the last day of 2006.

Rain has stopped for two days.

The weather is now sunny...

Teehee, I've embarked on the challenge of trimming my own eyebrows! Challenging... and no easy feat. I figured that I can't always head to the indian lady to thread my brows for the rest of my life, therefore I need to learn this lifeskill!!!

Tool 1: To get both brows in the right shape, use a template.

Japanese are ever so ingenious. Trust them to come up with this.
Unfortunately, ingenious people are kindda quirky too.

They never write their instructions in English... =(How the hell am I to know just by looking at the pictures??
The best words I could figure out was 'cut' , 'shave', 'up' & 'down'!!!
What happens if there is a "DON'T" in Japanese in front of these words? I'll be so screwed...

Tool 2: Get a little eyebrow shaver & eyebrow scissors

No boys, please don't scream like Mr Sam "why are you buying a pair of scissors?"..
hm..
I don't think you might want to add a word "eyebrow" infront of the word "scissors" because it's not the usual pair of sharp metals which could cut ur papers with.
-_-ll

Anyway.. this task is tougher than I thought.. U have to twist the template around. But still it's really fun to work with... the results? not bad lah!

Updates x Results x Ya Da Ya Dasss x

Results are out today. Well, not that great. But I don't really give a hoot about results as long as I don't fall below a certain CAP. I know what I want in my life and results is not something that might help. *grin*

I've stopped blogging weeks before Christmas that sometimes it's just hard to catch up. Saw the pics Ivy took at MoS and suddenly I realised I've been there twice in two weeks. No, it wasn't to have fun. The two times were to bring Sam & Ivy for a short visitation. During the visitation with Sam & his friends, we went way too early and left too early. Didn't dance.. just drank and left. With Ivy.. I had to drag her to try dancing to experience it for the first and last in her lifetime. We left at about 12am+. Ivy went there to snap pics and it's just so weird. Which two girls go there, take photos and leave? *urgh* that's my boring sister.

But then, I cannot forget the stretch of Lamborghini s we saw that night. It was phee-weet..
At least if I don't own one next time, I would have already touched one before. Muahhaa.. I also told Sam that I would want to step into Sepang at least once in my lifetime to put my life behind the wheels...

Anyway, I still liked the first visit to MoS. That was with my bunch of Poly friends and Wen booked a room in novotel for us to chill out. It was really tiring, but nothing beats clubbing with a bunch of girlfriends and knowing that a zonk out area is just a few steps away from the club. That's nice.

At least now I know what clubbing is like and I know it's seriously not my cuppa tea. I'm bad at dancing, I've low level of stamina. But if my girlfriends were to do it again.. I'm on. :)

Urgh.. I miss the girls.. We're planning for a steamboat during CNY... yummy..

Tired Christmas

Finally, Christmas is over. Church Carnival was on 23rd Dec. My cell group was in charge of the decorations and we stayed over on 22nd Dec. Gosh... till now we still lack tonnes of sleep.

Before I go catch up with my ZzzzZZzz... wanna show you guys this...

Yes, these balloon arches were did by us! We started at 4am+ and then finally finished by 8am. While the group of us fill these balloons with helium, Sam and Dean painstakingly tried to tie these balloons together!

My little fingers were almost rotting by the time I'm done with the tightening of the balloons and my nails looked ready to be peeled off anytime, I would say Dean and Sam did a wonderful job in putting these balloons into an arch! The supplier quoted me S$200 per arch inclusive of labour cost and the equipment, but I would say with just some internet info, a team of great workers, nothing is impossible.

Hooray to God's wonderful blessings the other parts of the church is decently decorated and I'm so thankful to my wonderful Kairos pcm and their sleepless nights in making this possible. Love u all...

Don't believe this is tiring work?

And after that... sleep like mad... don't care where.

Sleeping on a Christmas day at TCC centrepoint.
Sigh.
It's a guy thing girls will not understand.

***Rainy Tuesday Midnight***
I wished it was snowing instead. I never really got to see snow even when I was in London during the Christmas period 14 years back.. :(
I've always lamented about how my family is usually so nonchalant about the arrival of Christmas. We don't even put up the Christmas tree that is sitting in our storeroom. Ivy and I used to exchange Christmas presents.. but yeah.. Christmas in Singapore is only best felt if you're walking along Orchard at night.
My Christmas Wish:
Go to a snowy country next Dec right after my graduating sem
Go Hongkong or Taiwan to shop and eat
Go Korea for a nose job. *snigger*
Seems like I'm dying to get out of Singapore. I guess so. Maybe I'm just tired. I went straight back to work after my exams and began planning for Church's Christmas Carnival Decor.
Agreeing was so easy. Working is difficult. Who would've thought that some stupid girl who has never even tried to decorate her own little apartment with some garlands now has to decorate the whole church?
Shoot. Me & my big mouth.
I thought I could jump into bed right after the Carnival ends on 23rd. But a company called me up to host their co's christmas eve party. Seriously, screw them. They quoted me a horrendously meagre sum and I found out after I asked another professional fren of mine. Me and my dumb mouth again. Will jack the price up, otherwise I will not do it. So DiVa... ... my fren told me to.
I have a reputation to uphold as a future MCee.
***Rainy Tuesday Midnight***
Keryn & Ying dear... I need more medicine from you aka Korean medication - 24 episodes - I'll settle for any.

Over and done with Goong (궁)

After camping in front of the comp and tv, I'm finally back to normal sleeping time and working condition. :)

Yes, it's the Goong craze for me. How slow. But I had refused to watch it when it was aired during my project and examinations period lest I get hooked and fall into love-fantasy land...

All korean dramas are the same. Some people says it's draggy, naggy and terribly long-winded. I think so too. But I watch it for many other reasons.

1. Cute guys

2. Cute girls

3. Love story

4. Cute guys crying...

5. Cute guys acting cool...

Now I sound like a bimbo, but I don't care. The entanglement of a love relationship is somewhat the captivating factor. And sometimes you wished you were in it. Muahaha...
I guess Korean drama portrays how a fantasy guy is like.

Cool, Cute, Suave yet they have their softest side, one who cries when he's hurt, angry when he's jealous, smiles when he's in love. Awww.... (unfortunately, it's mostly girls who watch these shows and not guys. So in the end, guys do not understand what girls really want... )

Goong was one of the production that choked up an extremely high cost - 5 billion won. I estimated that to be about S$8 million. The set was built from scratch as the crew could not gain permission to film in the real palace. Gosh.. imagine the work and money to be put into this 24 episode drama.

If you do a google search, you could read up for yourself on the different sites and locations they used during filming. Otherwise you could visit Tour2Korea to view the locations - beautiful..

******
Two guys worth looking at...

Kim Jeong-hoon plays Lee Yul
* 26 yrs old*
*I think he's KBS's cutest pretty boy I've seen*

Joo Ji-hoon plays Lee Shin
*24 yrs old*
*His character makes people go gaga over him
but I think he's just alright*
*Look at the bear on the chair... *

Yoon Eun Hye plays Shin Chae-gyung
*22 yrs old*
*She's cute but sometimes she's asked to do overly
cute actions which makes her slightly irksome*

******
Goong's over. Christmas is coming. Holidays is ending. School is starting.

3-in-1 day celebrations!

Exams are over! No more mugging! No more gallons of coffee and midnight oil and of course no more pimples. (or so I hope!)

Still trying to 'recuperate' my sleep-deprived body. But first I need to go into coffee rehabilitation centre. So terrible. The symptons which my body says I lack the intake of caffeine are - fatigue, headaches, sluggishness, thinking of ZzzzZZ 24-hours, no work done for the day.

But I had a great day yesterday! Right after the paper, Keryn, Ying and me headed straight to wheelock and started our binge!

N.Y.D.C
Mushroom Madness Pizza
Beefballs, Ham Pasta
(Can't remember the name)

The pizza is great. Has this very dry, crispy mushroom. Seriously, if anything is called F-O-O-D to me, I love it. The pasta is CHEESY! tell me about how bad can it be, though I don't eat beefballs.

BIG HUG!
Sneaky Keryn almost planted a kiss on my cheeks.
Hm.. I tot I still owe her & Ying one for sending me a beautiful medley MMS?

S.I.S.T.E.R A.C.T
What is a charlie angels' pose without the 3rd babe?

A.N.G.E.L F.O.U.N.D
So, here is the 3rd babe with a
'GRANDMA GOES NUTS' Mudpie!

Before the food comes...
snap more pics!

A complete picture
with our pet dog..
he's been very quiet throughout our meal

These two sweet angels gave me the lunch treat and made me feel so bad. It's a culture in my family for the birthday person to treat the others and not vice versa! But after which, we went shopping at Far East and Wisma (before I left for family dinner).

I think I was too tired to really go on a spree. Had only 2.5 hrs of sleep the night before, it's too difficult to pull myself to try on clothes nor shoes... haha.. But we're planning a Sentosa sun-bathing session and more shopping sprees! Yeah!

Went to west mall - Mayim for dinner. Was craving for la-mian and xiao long bao. But ended up eating too much again and looked like that...

Of course she looks happy..
she stole the last xiao long bao...
while I had to gorge down her shredded chicken la mian.. -_-ll Haha!
